In this week’s Friday from the Field video, Tammy Tiller-Hewitt is talking with Michael Joseph, a new liaison from her home state of Illinois. When asked about his biggest challenge, Michael gave a familiar scenario of trying to change long-term established referral patterns. His facility has grown so fast that many primary care providers are unaware of all the new specialties that are offered in-house. Watch and hear ideas Michael has to overcome his challenge.
When is the last time you “scrubbed up” - I mean wearing scrubs in your role as a superstar Physician Liaison? In this week’s Friday from the Field, superstar Beverley Fox-Bray puts herself back in training, shadowing in the operating room so she stays on-her-game when promoting their new surgical robot. As successful liaisons, we never “fake it ‘til we make it”. We spend countless hours mastering the details of our organizations and the services offered. Additionally, we should spend time educating and updating ourselves on our competitors too, in order to consistently identify competitive advantages, or in some cases, create talking points around why we don’t have the latest and greatest technology.
Data-data-data - garbage in-garbage out! This week we continue our Liaison insights and challenges mini-series with Donyel Edwards, a liaison for a large medical group in the lovely state of North Carolina. Take a look as Donyel shares her biggest challenge as a liaison. What obstacles do you face as a liaison? Contact us to discuss and brainstorm ways your organization can tackle obstacles that are holding you back. Team work makes the dream work!
Tammy Tiller-Hewitt recently helped produce a Women’s Conference and one of the speakers said something that really resonated with her. She said, “I was sleep-walking through life.” BAM – mic drop! As someone whose dream is to lead millions to discover what they’re made for – their WHY, hearing that was a major AH-HA moment for Tammy. It’s a great description of why many of us are missing our real purpose as we go through the motions of life. The thing about motion is it doesn’t have one speed or even speed limits. Maybe for some of us we’re sleep-running, even sprinting through life. What about you? Meet Tammy in Salt Lake City for the 2019 AAPL Conference where she'll share “Discovering Your WHY” and why you were made for so much more!
We love winners! A couple of weeks ago during our Liaison Training workshop we met superstar liaisons from across the country! In our workshops we turn up the competitive juices with contests. We thought in this week's video you would enjoy hearing the winning elevator pitch directly from Bethany, a new liaison at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center! In the upcoming week's, we’ll share more videos of Workshop Insights, tips and tricks from more of the attendees. P.S. If you missed the April training workshop - mark your calendars for October 8-10th. We'll be hosting another off-the-charts training workshop - Fall into Perfection: Liaison Training. Early bird and group discounts are available.
As liaisons, we often feel as though we are a generalist, talking about anything and everything regarding our hospital or facility. In this week's Friday From the Field video, Tammy Tiller-Hewitt shares some ideas to help you change it up a bit. Ideas to help give you that laser focus that your position needs. Without exception - every time our liaisons implement the ideas in this video, there is a substantial uptick in that area of business. Take a look and let us know your thoughts.
In this week's Friday From the Field video Tammy Tiller-Hewitt comes to you fresh off a flight to the west coast. On the way to her hotel, she stopped by the health system corporate headquarters to check out the meeting room and test the equipment where she would be conducting a training program the next day. Even though sometimes she gets push back from organizations to schedule the room ahead of time, too bad – so sad, it’s part of her pre-flight “plan”. Research shows that 10 minutes of planning can save 2 hours of wasted time! What’s your preflight plan? Check this out…
Dr. Ray Foley is our special guest in this week's Friday From the Field video. Dr. Foley is both a practicing Gastroenterologist and the President of Penn Medicine - Lancaster Regional Health Physicians (LGHP), a 600+ provider medical group. Over the past few months, we have worked with LGHP to implement a robust Provider Onboarding & Navigation program. In this week's video, we have just wrapped up the launch of the mentorship program with 60 of their providers. Research shows when organizations have a provider onboarding program of one year, including a formal Mentorship Program, both retention and satisfaction increase. A mentorship program also supports organizational commitment to provider wellness. Watch the quick video to hear Dr. Foley's thoughts about the success of their Provider Onboarding initiative. We custom design gold-standard on-boarding and retention programs to meet specific organizational needs. Just as Dr. Foley mentions - LGHP had a Program they wanted to to take to next level, that's when they partnered with Tiller-Hewitt. How can we help you?
